accepted my bid. about 350 ft to the last classroom. Id like to 4 to the door at least 250 feet but need extra vac hose. Since I dont do commercial anymore (nights/weekends) I dont have that much vac hose. Other than borrowing from another cleaner, is there any cheap hose I can use just as a one time use for this job?

Don’t stress doing the 4 to the door thing.

Just leave your wand on the carpet while you’re cleaning to keep the lift high and it won’t hurt your dry times

Wait…don’t you have a Titan 575? Do you do what their idiot instructions say and have your lift set at 12hg? If so, then yes you need 4tothe door. Or you could just be normal and set your hg where it needs to be at 14

Yes, there’s a big difference when it’s only 2 hg higher.

I don’t understand how anyone in this industry doesn’t have extra hose on hand.
Forget the ‘other board suggestion’s’, just go buy a couple 50’ lengths of 2.5”…
WAY better suction than the stupid 4TTD.

It’s idiotic, and complicates things…

Believe me, I’ve tried running the ‘other’ way, and it is a waste of time, and money…

"Retarded" is an unfortunate term.

In today's parlance, try these instead:

"Developmentally challenged"

"Cognitively disabled"

"Intellectually disabled"

"Differently-abled"

This last one has gained a great deal of acceptance, but many organizations that help such individuals find this term to be condescending.

No need to thank me Marty; I know you keep notes of my suggestions of empathy and kindness in a notebook somewhere close at hand....

Retard works just fine for me.
The others sound condescending.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
I will never forget the time my younger brother made a bunch of adult down syndrome folks laugh harder than they ever did when he made fun of them calling them retards and making fun of their looks and idiosyncrasies. Then they started making fun of each other and they were all laughing until my grandma heard us and put an end to it.
Those folks loved us. It was honest. They know who they are.
My grandma was the head cook at an adult foster care home and she woukd bring a group home on the weekends and put them to work around the house. It was the 70s.
My brother was also the funniest person I ever knew.

My best friend worked exclusively with children with Down's Syndrome, and through him I learned what love and laughter they could bring into your life.

My friend is long passed away (he was only 37), but the lessons I learned from him and those in his care have lasted a lifetime.

My teasing of Marty was just that.....I enjoy be able to pique his ire from time to time

You’ve tried to correct me on the use of the word RETARD before Jim. All I can tell you is I’m not as politically correct as you are nor am I anywhere near as sensitive.

I use to prefer Buggy Eyed Southerner

Now that Pastor Pemberton has worked his ways with me, I'm using "less fortunate" rather naturally

Even though I still envision Marty every time the subject comes up
