Shill? Yeah like I have anything to gain.

The app is nicer than sq, sent receipt via email is nit a sq sales pitch, and it syncs with my Quickbooks.

Do you sometimes post just cuz lee?

I had to modify my swiper a little and my otter box for the swiper to insert into the jack.
As often as I drop my iphone I'm not willing to go with out protection.

You can use gopayment with or without QB just like sq.

But I love QB, and I like how all payments are recorded on QB.

I also now use a service though QB, where if I email or print and invoice or statement a link is created for the client to pay directly from his or her bank account online.
The link is for that invoice only.
Cost them nothing, me .50 Get paid faster and no need to go to the bank.

Gopayment is so much more professional than SQ..

Wow, I thought I was going against the grain when I chose GoPayment over Square. Very easy to use IMO.

both are great IMO.. but square is not as professional..

I think sq should rework things a bit..

GoPayment is the professional choice..

Its the fine print. Like MOST cards will be 2.7% Non qualified cards such as rewards cards and corporate cards will cost more. Same language as my current company. Lets us know in a couple months how many cards they consider non qualified.

I'll probably try Gopayments as well. Why not? As long as they only charge you per swipe.

The reader looks a little bulky.

I was going to get a belly button ring and hang my square from it. Ivebeensold

not as professional....

i have been following and reading, and i just dont see. it....

now as far as integrating with your QB program, then sure its better...

but you can sit there and say there is anything "less" professional between the 2...

They both have swipers

they both have a great per swipe fee

they both let you sign on screen

now other then the 1000 cap, which i have also heard can be tweaked...

They both are almost identical...

just dont see it :| :| :| :| :|

The emailed receipt to client is nothing more than a sales pitch to get them to sign up for square.

I don't like the way transactions show on the clients credit card invoice.

I've said. Sq is great. Just not near as professional.

IMO.

You try both then get back to me otherwise you have no facts.

never looked at, nor asked about their CC statement, maybe i will next time...

ever shopped at harbor freight??? big company right??? took me 2 years to finally figure out WTF central processing was on my bank statements...

i end up texting most receipts anyway, but i will ask about an emailed one and have it forwarded to me...

as long as it took me to finally take CC, and you want me to add ANOTHER thing????

Plus right now I dont hardly take enough to worry about it

I just sent myself a text via SQ, and then an email.

I will say this much.

I think they are already making changes. They no longer include a sale pitch in the receipt. At least not as bold.

Text receipt.

Emailed receipt

That alone was one of my biggest complaints. Hated the sales pitch text or email receipt.
Be it small, as I have said. I really like square. Was happy with them.
Just not as professional.
Square will be popular as they do a bare minimum credit check, hence the $1000 per week pay out cap.

You however might have your life savings tied up in an investment with square. And you don't enjoy the comparison to a competing service.

Square does not capture name on card to include in confirmation email after card is run.
GoPayments does.
I can add up to 50 separate users with differing log ins. Yet all the same main account.

You really took my comparison hard..

As for worrying about your merchant service, if you don;t use the service often.
I processes a good number of cards per month. So I kinda care.
