One of the highest profile, local realtors in town had me out to do tile, counters and later, her carpet. She was pleased enough to refer me to two of her kids, one of which is a realtor as well.

Mom had me go bid a 1800' empty the other day..

She was shocked at how .35 added up..

Sorry Mike, 35 Cents a square foot is pretty high, especially for a real estate office. But I will send it over.

My reply..

I normally give realtors a 10% discount on thier own homes, like i have for you and your kids.

I've charged .35 since I started up here. Only Summit Cleaning is higher (.50) but I'm more thorough than him as well.

I really appreciate your referrals Mary and hope to continue our relationship.

Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, I have no desire to be the cheapest or busiest cleaner in town.

Just the best.

But I will offer the estate a 10% discount as well.

Thanks!!

Hers...

I called around for a per square foot price at the request of my client, since it was such a big job. You were substantially higher with it ranging from 24 cents to 30. That said … your overall price was less. So figure that out! LOL I still have not sent the bids in. Got a little behind. This comment was an FYI…. Not me complaining or b…… ing.

Some people. I don’t know if you’ll get it but typical people putting price over quality.

I had a conversation this morning that made my blood pressure spike. I cleaned a rental for an old friend (ex girlfriend). Gave her the buddy rate of $.25 and she called said her husband bitched it was too expensive. I just need to check, is it legal to choke people?

The Insurance company I used for everything asked me to bid on their offices a few years back

I bid $900 for the area and they tried to chisel me down to $750 based on a competing bid.

They went with the other company

I dumped them as my insurer on renewal and when my agent called I told him I got a better price just like his office did
