Gym Floor Stripe Removal?

a client wants all the stripes removed from the gym floor then stripped and waxed.

Any suggestions how to get the stripes off?

Floor stripper and give it some dwell time, usually long handle scraper.

Might just pull right off actually but sometimes it is a pa and need the scraper.
Would add some time just in case.

Won't your Square Scrub with a spp pad take them right off?

Are lines painted on? Tape?

Looks like tape.

Yellow looks like tape for sure, but the other line appear to not have damage which makes me lean towards something other than tape,

Stand up straight and quit leaning and it will look like tape.


OK that is pretty straight BUT they paint VCT?

sorry, i should have given you more details.

It's tape on VCT. to make matters worse they wax over it.

Anyhow, it doesn't look like i got the job cuz i haven't heard back from them.

You have to wax over it or the tape doesn't last.

When i started we did kmart store and had to remove/replace tape exactly like that almost weekly.

The Red Blue Green Yellow square is Tape.
It is a heavy duty plastic tape. You should be able to scrape it right up with some stripper.
I have used a heat gun.
I worked as a Graphic Designer for AWANA Clubs in Chicago. A kids church program. That is their game square.
I have taken up a couple in my day. They tear up with use.

The basketball lines look to be in good shape why take them up?
