Going shopping for supplies tomorrow. I will be using a Rotovac 360i mostly.
Hoping I can get some advice from all you pros because this seems to be an active (and totally out of control) board.
What are your favourites (US translation = favorites) in these areas:

1. Residential pre-spray
2. Rinse solution
3. Pre-spray for Chinese restaurant
4. Boosters for pre-spray
5 . Pet stain remover
6. Pet odor remover
7. Upholstery pre-spray
8. Dupont Teflon or Scotchgard (or other?)
9. Red dye remover
10. Something important that i will desperately need but am too dumb to know what it is

I can't appear to answer any of those anymore with out hurting feelings these days but if you use a brush head on that 360 you'll need less of every one of them.

and if you use a metal gummy shark be careful not to cut the house in half.

Also consider (if not already) using soft water for rinse. Also a way to cut down on chemical usage.

That is true. For better or worse yours was the first post I read. It does tend to leave one with a certain unsettled feeling about participating. Good thing you are Canadian.
Oh great...new around here myself. Sorry to give the wrong impression. Cheers!

aaah, that may be a problem. we have hard water. will have to find a friend in town I can get water from. Thanks!
I was suggesting you get a softener. Here is an example of one made just for truckmounts:

Whew! Finally I have time to post again. Thanks to everyone who replied with suggestions and helpful advice.
Jeff @ Sierra Clean hooked me up with some Fels and booties and tons of good advice that i was able to scribble down on 1.5 sheets of paper. Thanks also to those who PM'd me with more good advice. Now I know who to contact in Canada for all these great products.

Just picked up the van today and did my first job! Now I know that Murphy was a carpet cleaner. Will post the story when I have time...you may not believe it but every word will be true. I almost quit the business on my first job. Tongue in cheek - but just barely.
