Hand sewed border rug

This is a hand sewed rug I made for a client . Her dog got sick and threw up and pooped on it. This rug was sent to a cleaner in Charlotte. It was than sent back to me all folded up . This is a no-no with machine made rugs. Only on orientals you could do this. Some you may not. Notice the stain still very visible. The rug is distorted d0 to over wetting and shrinking.

Well before re cleaning the rug my procedure was to lay down tack strip. The bow was around 1 1/2 inches out. I stretch it back into shape as much as possible. I cleaned it and stretched a little more. I used the claw as well as HWE . When you have a rug of this nature it is always good to know what and how to provide proper procedure. The end result.

After sitting in my shop rolled up for a while I lay ed it out to relax before delivery.
