Let's see if this is really her birthday.
Do this social experiment- change your birthday to tomorrow or saturday or sunday on facebook and wait and see how many people -that are your "close" friends- will say happy birthday.
Those that will question it are usually the real close friends and those that just say right away happy birthday are the ones that are doing what facebook is telling us to do.
Those of you that are friends on facebook- don't ruin the experiment for each other.
It is funny how we roll in this past 15 or so years of internet and social networking.
