They are typically in life jackets especially on the boat.

We are lucky here in front of my place that the water is maybe knee deep... For a long way out... And I know a kid can drown in an inch of water...

They are not allowed by the water unattended...

We also have them in swimming lessons and training but still always within arms reach with us
