I've used something similiar and they worked good. Little by little I left them at customers home and now use a piece of romex wire.

I've never used them. But I have seen them before. A couple of Minneapolis house cleaning companies used them and people seem to be pretty happy with their performance. Apparently when used well they do wonders. :)

Not seem them yet. How long are they available in 18 inches seems short.

How do they hold up against the pressure, pulling and tugging of a hose under vacuum? On a staircase, the vac hose is always trying to pull itself down the steps.

I used them for a while...I think it was Jimmy who found them and brought it to my attention...they work good for holding the hose on a stair case..just wist it a few time to keep the hose away from the wood..and then wrap the hose...the only problem with them is after a half dozen stair cases they loose the out side coating.....the also work good for holding things in place in your van....
