Please help. The new owners insist I use hash tags. I don't know what to do. Help me figure this out!

#Projectwhirlwind

Well, I did agree, but only because I thought they said "eat hash browns."

If you are posting something about carpet cleaning do this: #carpetcleaning . When people click on that it will take them to other posts about carpet cleaning. Do that for whatever you are talking about.

How come the #carpetcleaning in your post didn't show up as a link?

I have no idea how the guy asking about hashtags was able to create that link. Me thinks he knows more than he's saying.

Scott's original post wasn't really a hashtag, it was a link to a URL.

I have read that vBulletin can have hashtags, Fred must not have them turned on here.....

#hashtag (not really)

to get the above, I typed: (I left off the end brackets [......] so it would show up)

URL="http://interlinksupply.com/projectwhirlwind/"]#hashtag (not really)[/URL

Yeah, you can turn the hashtag into an anchor text easily
