After 3 attempts to buy a couple of pumps and motors off eBay, I gave up. Bargains unlimited insisted I had to go through global shipping. I had eBay walk me through the whole process and it still was refused. I tried a place in Colorado, a place in Georgia and directly through pumptec. A waste of time, no stock, no answer to a phone call and just frustration. One guy had a pump and motor locally but at 1200 bucks it wasn't going to happen. So I ended up calling kleenrite. I got 2 cat pumps for a little more than the cost of one pumptec. They stuck them on ups for over night and life is good. I diff my toque to the folks there for awesome service and caring about their new and loyal customer.

And a quick shout out to Cleanworks Ron for helping me out in a bad situation. Thanks Ron, your machine will be returned as soon as Pat and Simon get me up and running.

3 machines, 2 pump failures and one I loaned out was leaking like a sieve. I thought I had lots of back up.....

Downstream 15 feet from the pump. It was just a weird situation, one the motor quit. I replaced the capacitor but it died an hour after. The leaking machine was loaned out to a friend that forked it up somehow and skated over the problem.

I have a Nautilus MX3-500H I bought new for $6K AU.

I put four PumpTec 207v pumps in it over 2.5 years.

Biggest shitheaps going.

Old original fibreglass porty with Aquatec diaphragm pump. No issues.

Grant,

Something does not sound right with what is happening with your pumped pumps.
Perhaps the configuration, chemicals, or heat?
Just doesn't make sense, our operators have never have had those problems.

Hunnmmmm.

Thank you for replying. I don’t like last step chems. I use tap water.

It has an anline heater. The water is baby bath tepid going into the solution tank. The Australian version cant be opened with the nice foot release shown in the Youtube videos of US demos.

It burnt a wiring harness out at a customers home. Replaced this myself on the weekend that followed.

Couldn’t win.

Pumps were $2k a shot here and it just got too much.

Those generals kick ass. The amp draw is a little more than I like but they last forever and give great flow. I ended up getting cat 1xp so I don't have the pain of trying to get the pumptec here. The cost of the cats was a little more than half of the pumptec and they were available right away with better distribution and no bullshit trying to get them here.

Before replacing your pumptec pump, make sure that the pump is the problem, not the unloader valve. The unloader has to be greased once in a while and the little hat cup has to be replaced. The pumptec is to rebuild as long as the head hasn't worn out.
