I would like to test all bonnets, pad machines and counter rotating brushes on different carpets with a texture retention warranty.
I would like to know a) how the same carpet stands up to the various methods when compared to CRI appearance retention scales and b) which systems cause the tips to bloom.
I would then like to compare the results with using all the same systems on a wear warrany and a builder's grade carpet.
I would like to know if certain presprays and additives actual expedite delamination of carpet's latex bed if the carpet is left wet too long.
As a guy who is active in cleaning, inspection and restoration these are the things that have me the most curious.
If Ron and Libby would lead the testing that would be amazing.
It's a 2 day event! how about you do all the testing before hand and pit together a PowerPoint presentation and share the results? That would be cool :)

See if Dana would come down and illustrate the Cheetahs. Color sticks by CTI is good also like already suggested. Electric tm's would be great. I personally don't care about shoot offs, as long as the equipment is there we can see results ourselves.

Great Ideas, Most remind me of what we used to do. Be great for Toonie to give an update on IICRC and possibly answer a few questions that those who don't understand the concept or belief..

Lee, on your praposed tests, a suggestion sir, work backwards, a common test for bleeding is to use your strongest first and try to make it bleed, if it dont cause damage your regular stuff is probably OK. I found this to save alot of time and unneeded testing. can it be adapted to test for fibre or is it fiber damage? I also agree Libby & Ron would be the true evaluators...

I still laugh thinking of how Toonie, Boobie, Paulie and Luddie Buddie worked their butts off doing testing that was out of this world at a few of the MF I atteneded.

Love johns suggestion have testing done and on power point.

Re: Help me plan M8F

If there is sufficient interest, I can get someone to do a class on
1) Stone including Spinergy / Monkey / Cheetah pads.
2) Rug cleaning with photos and instructions on a min-plant and new rug products
3) Introduction to leather cleaning (not at they Tony W restoration level)
4) Large scale commercial accounts

Let me know, Mike, if the attendees are interested.

I second the classes on commercial carpet cleaning!!!!  I would like to see comparisons between the different interim maintenance products and processes- Such as CRB machines-Host, Sprite, Whittaker-and i would like someone to demonstrate how one can "maintain" a zillion square feet of commercial carpet (take say-a casino for example !gotcha! 8) with a bucket of itty-bitty sponges and a vacum cleaner . Let's see some classes on encapsulation-(i know-i know-for God's sake-stop screaming  )-that can be used as part of a commercial maintenance program (Yes-we steam clean as well  ) . Hey-can we get some Carpet Manufacturers in there to talk about warranties???? And how about some representatives from Tennant and Nobles to demonstrate some of their riding and walk-behind equipment??????

I'd like to see perhaps a small roller coaster or a kiddie ride with airplanes or cars for us to ride on.

I will come all the way out to Cali if Jimmy dresses as a klown and makes a balloon giraffe for my kid.

They are in the Occupy Wall Street crowd. It'll be: "You mean I'm supposed to clean up this dog shit? F this and F you. I quit!"

Good luck Joe![/quote:2fpoepfw]

Our country is full of 1st and 2nd generation immigrants who need and want to work and they aren't protesting.
You just have to leave the bubble.
