even if he was for real I doubt it would be worth anybody's time to do the work

Certified at what?

he can look at the IICRC website or the CRI web site to find what he needs

Hi Guys - Not here to sell anything - just trying to locate cleaners in the area that might want to take on some steady commercial work. Have been asked by an established account that we service in other states to take over servicing their locations and will be moving to the area to do so using a combination of our own staff and subs. Program is working successfully for other guys and will provide references to those that are in the area and have an interest - we even pay c.o.d..

Prefer certified cleaners since Shaw has decided it's important but interested in talking to anyone who is looking for some steady work.

New to the board but not the business - in business since 1974 with lots of references.

Does commercial carpet carry a warranty now? If not, why would you need to be certified to clean it?

Not required for commercial but it's probably coming. Certification for this project is not required just preferred.

Are all methods permissible?

Who decides on whether to bonnet of HWE??

How are the rates calculated?
What percentage does the cleaner/owner get?

Thanks for the good questions - will provide full details to someone who is in the region and interested in more work but here's the basics:

Client has determined the process and requires t/m extraction for part, encap/bonnet or cimex for some of it and turbo/sx12 attached to t/m for tile.

Rates are determined by owner/operator after determining their own profitability so 100% of their quote - it's important to us they do this at a profit so they want to keep doing the work. Of course it's commercial so rarely your best rate per foot but it can be a steady check that others we work with happily rely on to level out the peaks and valleys of this business.
We've been working with many subs for many years who will vouch for our fairness and timely payment with checks that clear the bank every time.

Please send an email if in the area and interested - will be traveling the state and visiting client and interested cleaners 1/8-1/12. ucc97clean@yahoo.com

Rick,
I'm sure the folks here are just a little dubious of anyone offering a no-information offer, not just you. Probably because too many times those making the offer are trying to expand their business by using the most desperate established companies and then will move in and take the work away just as it gets profitable, or employ them at a pay rate that forces the 'sub' to cheat to make money.

Not saying that's your intent, it just happens so often that you should probably expect a less than civil first reaction. I understand why you wouldn't post the account information; desperate guys would just show up trying to shove you out.

As with any subcontracting work, do your research into the people and companies behind the offer. If you end up taking some of this work it would probably help to know how it worked out for you.

PS: Guys in Seattle are particularly dubious of anyone coming into the area from the Southwest. You'll have to battle what we've come to see as the Traveling California Businessman's Credo: "There's always another sucker behind the last one that didn't get his money back."
