Can't reach Les so maybe someone here can help. Our Judson TNT unit has been blowing pump switches this past 4 days. We are on our 3rd one this week. Can't find any bare wire that may be shorting. The wires get hot where it ties in at the switch and pops it. What would cause that?

Check every wire connection associated with the circuit. Can be anything from a bad crimp, to a poor ground. A poor connection will do as you describe.

Is the unit old (hours on the clutch) enough that Kevin could be right about the clutch? If so he could be right.

Have you taken the clutch off and cleaned all the dust out from behind it? Do you know if anyone or anything put pressure on the wire before this started happening? There is a chance the wire was pulled or cracked just inside the clutch thats allowing the short. You can also hot wire the clutch directly to the battery and if it is a ground short it will burn the wire and allow you to find it easier. :)
