I did this one yesterday. The customer said the floor was dirty and spotty. I just thought she meant the floor was dirty. I sold her on the color seal. We cleaned it good and it came out great, then set fans, went to eat lunch, came back and sealed it. There is always a haze so we mist some water or neutral cleaner, scrub with a red pad, and then use cotton bonnets to pick up haze. After buffing I noticed the floor looked off. There appeared to be a wax on the tile that has worn off over time. The customer said it was like this before we came out. I really don't see anything else we can do but apply some finish to the tile. I told her that may be the only solution and down the road she would need to have it stripped and the color seal re-done. I need some advice on this!
Here is the before. Do you notice any shiny spots on the floor? I just see dirty grout.
Here is an after shot. Notice the shiny spots all over the place.
