you should have at least one pole that goes all the way to the floor so you can just roll the rug across it and raise it up

My stroke happened while fighting such a rug by myself.
Don't do it Marty. I added a winch in my shop to lift them, but my kids said I was done dragging rugs to my shop to clean.

I have blocks and tackles rigged so I can drop the poles to the floor, then lift the rug up again.

Secure it on your bumper, then drive to Starbucks or sumthin....this way you air dry it while it flaps the rest of the dirt out like a rug badger.

Quit trying to be a high end cleaner and just hack them out in home. I quit dragging rugs around years ago. People in my area aren't going to pay $300 to drive their rug all over the county.
