Tip when buying them from Ebay: try to get a pic. of the filter at the end of the straw that sucks the water out of the water container, if it is full of crap or nasty looking don't buy it. I have been lucky, but that's what they look like when they are about to stop working..

Is that better than the Wagner steamer from HD or Lowes?

I have been using CTI's red one for years never had any color loss got 4 bottle from outta state and now its pulling color out of the carpet like mad. did they change it ?????? It appears to be bleaching the carpet as well as removing the Red.

I use Red Relief and the only time I see color loss is from dark carpets. Like forest green and dark blue and it is nothing new. Usually you can set the steamer and forget it. Except for darker colors from my experience.

I've removed 1000 of stains with it and never had color loss except the last 4 bottles I bought from an outta state retailer. It smells like they doubled the ammonia.
