every guy in my town has to run their machine for 15 minutes minimum in the winter to get any heat..........is that FREE? It was 104 deg in
Vegas, the machines arent going to get any hotter unless their on fire. If I lived in a warm climate I'd run an HX, but I dont so I'll keep paying .34 cents an hour for amazing heat.

Mike you are correct they aren't going to get any hotter as there is an apex with blower heat exchangers where the blower will actually stop heating the exchanger and just maintain or cool the exchanger down.

This is why blower heat exchangers are a safe option the air passing through will only get to a certain temp and then either hold or begin to cool if there is another heat exchanger such as an exhaust exchanger in the same line of air.

Some manufacturers use the blower heat exchanger to gain temp rise to 200 plus then by physics without modification becomes a natural heat control for the system.

It take 15 minutes to setup and prespray so I don't understand the 15 minute comment.

We are in a warm climate and I ask the guys to "warm up" the machine before just raising it all the way up to normal operating rpms, as most machine last longer during easy start scenario as opposed to the start at wide open.

I am not challenging your method or your likes just stating mine having run both and choosing heat exchangers for us.

My first TM was a ProChem Cub. HX unit. It didn't take 15 minutes. Usually one room. I always start in a BR, which is normally not as soiled as a hall or LR anyway, so it was no big deal. Heat is great, but it's not an end all be all. Normally, the guys who make such a big deal about heat are the tool heads who simply like machinery and want everything big, hot and loud ... just because. I had big, hot and loud with the Vortex. All that heat was a waste.

It was 6 flow I think but mikey would have to confirm.

Neither unit was a complete fire breathing machine but both held respectable heat and under normal circumstances I would expect either unit to hold 220 during a normal summer day and 190 on a cold day.

Mark has shown plenty of videos showing good heat, so I don't get the discussion.

And I don't like the idea of actually paying for heat as I prefer heat exchangers and the "free" heat they produce.

The point I am trying to make with these hx is 6 flow is half the cleaning of 12 flow....
That won't clean for me.....I have bumped up the jets to 12-14 flow since I added kero heater...
Also the zipper gives me faster drying than when I used 6 flow..wo the zipper
I am not saying hx won't clean but it will take longer with lower water flow.....
Also if these pto machines are twice the price they should put out extra heat and vacuum for the $$$$$
If you are worried about fuel cost add up the savings of finishing the job approximate 25% faster....
All my 2-3 hour jobs are finished 1/2 hour faster and I have had these same returants for 8-10 years
