Higher prices for using a rotary

Are there any guys on here who charge a higher price for using a rotary? Whether a rx20 or the 360? Should a cleaner charge a higher price for breaking out heavy artillary??

I do. Look, if you are going to make the investment in better machinery, you have to pay for it somehow, as well as the time it takes you.

I dont have a rotary but if I'm doing a restorative clean either scrubbing with 175 or crb, then following with higher flow rates and extra dry passes they're paying extra

To me it is not weather I use the rotary or not, it is more about- Do I need to do a restoration cleaning?
If the client let the carpet go, so that it requires a lot of extra work to remove saturation etc. They pay more.

If it's beyond normal soiling we generally charge more regardless what tool/tools we use.

So there are times we use a ZIPPER or XL for our convenience and we are charging normal rate. Other times we will charge more because the conditions require mutistep preconditioning and/or a Zipper or rotary.

How about grooming Richard? Do the Hatchlings & RA charge more for grooming?
In socks?

Grooming is free.

In fact we offer to groom at no charge after any half assed lazy cleaner (U.S.) just cause...we's sooper!

I don't charge extra for using a CRB because I use it on every job. I got tired of the Silver, Gold, Platinum packages and just perform the Platinum service to all my customers.

If it's dirty, I'm charging more period. If it needs a rotary...I'm going to use it...to give the best results...AND especially to make MY job easier. I'm not trying to kill myself here.

I use mine on every stinking job. However, I did use my shiny, unused Rotovac stainless steel wand yesterday. Hated it, it was so heavy! Does anyone sell a good 12” glide?
