I’m probably buying one of Mike’s glides anyway, so no sales needed. I’m just trying decide on slots or holes. I’ve always used slots

Do holed glides really help the wand pull more water, or do they just make the top of the carpet feel drier?

Seems like holed glides would restrict airflow.

I’m not old and I don’t possess a vagina, so I don’t need my wands to move easier.

I do, however, want to pull as much disgusting water from the carpet as possible, without using my T-Rex all the time.

no

or do they just make the top of the carpet feel drier?

yes.
But only for a short while

do side by side, and immediately "feels" like a tremendous difference .
feel them 15 minutes later, and you won't know which is which.
and no difference in complete dry times

hole glides are easiest to push.
It's the ONLY benefit they offer over slot or glideless.
which could make a difference if you bought a wand de jour that's harder than hell to push WITH a glide

weren't you suggesting choking the wand down with 1.5" when guys were mentioning how hard they are to push?

Trust me, you would have no problem with either Dev.

You know how to use a wand.

The 1.5/12" works so damn well i can enjoy the lightweight and flexibility of an 8' whip and still get unreal dry times

Yep..

I use 8' of regular porty hose
My helper was complaining about the hose being too big on my 1.5" wand. And it wasn't because the suction was too high. She said the bigger hose was preventing her from pushing and pulling in a straight line, due to how light the 1.5" was. It's hard to explain. I couldn't understand what she was saying, but I think you were right on those little wands needing a 8' 1.5" hose attached
