I was wondering if i was to use some type of glue to connect my hoses...
Would the hose stay attached to the connector and still have proper suction...
I dont wanna use the cuff on the connection because ill have to duct tape it...
Keep in mind the hoses are (2" x 1_1/2")...

Are you wanting to make a permanent connection only on that one section ... the whip hose connection to your 2 inch? Or, are you wanting to make permanent connection on ALL of your hoses?

Why? Are you running a live reel? Are you having trouble coming up with the money to buy traditional cuffs, or cool cuffs?

Those barbs should fit inside the hose without using a cuff. Once they're together they aren't easy to get apart.

How much vac do you have at the wand? You should have no problems with your hoses coming apart.

i have a live vac. reel but it seems to make my suction decrease in lift...
is there anything i could fit between the gap in it to make up for the lost air...
when i looked at the CoolCuffs i couldnt find a (2 x 1_1/2)...

so i suppose the answer to my question...
would be that i could use the glue on the two, but bank on making hoses a permanent run...

How much hose is on your reel? For all the reading you do you know that going to the 1.5 whip is killing your vac.. One guy is even running 2.5 to his wand! If you have a 1.5 wand reduce it at the wand. If you have 200' on you reel and you are whipping 1.5 the vac will "suck" but not much!

Not to hi-jack your thread, but to make a point that you can benefit from going 2.5 to 2, using glided wands and standard hose connectors ... I am seeing that even I, with my new V, will benefit from going 2.5 to 2.

You hear that Greenie Bean?

Be expecting a call.

So you bought the Vortex to avoid using 2.5 with another BS dual wand machine and now you have to admit you were wrong.

Love it.

Your wife must be so tired of hitting you upside your head.

Lester,

For about $80 you could equip. your hoses with 2" coolcuffs and forget all this headache, that and a $9 Vac attack at the wand (the 2" cuff slips over the vac attack).

Don't ever mention 1.5" hose again.

Lurch ... you make up more shit ... where do you get this stuff?

I bought the V because it is the badist TM made. I hoped to avoid 2.5 inch hose because working with 2 inch is easier for me.

The fact that the V still can benefit from 2.5 is a revelation to me, yes, but it's certainly not a gottcha moment for YOU.

Grow up, son.
