that was crazy fast delivery. It's all together and ready to clean. It comes with all the extra Teflon guides. Sweet deal. Thanks John and Sapphire Scientific. Pretty machine. The handles even welded straight. I like the silicon hose it seems like it will take the chemicals without yellowing out. I'm not sure which flow it comes with but it was pumping it out when I tested it. Tomorrow night I have a nasty to test it on. Maybe I'll pull a Sagier.

A lot of choices. At this point I'm pretty set on the 360i. Will be used for residential.

But not even sure if I need rotary at all.

(I have an RX-20 for commercial).

I already have it. I use Pyrex tubing. Never yellows or cracks. I was going to cut it last night but changed my mind. I thought it would be overkill. I guess my first instinct was right. Thanks.

John was auctioning it off and my rotovac power head is from 2002. The 360i I believe has the small motor and would probably bogs down for me. I wanted a 15" head so it would be the 360xl or hoss. Both in my opinion probably work exactly the same. I doubt one really cleans better or leaves the carpet drier. If I hadn't won it from John I would of bid on the 360xl that was being auctioned.
I'd be happy either way.

The HOSS and the 870 is a killer combo. You will want to angle the spray bars a bit, as well as stagger the poly glides. I'll post a pic when I get a chance.

You do! I got one about six months ago and it can make a HUGE difference.

It's happened many times, I'll start some nasty with the wand just to see how it does and the 360i(or any) blows it away.

I thought they shouldn't spray straight down. I noticed that today. Not sure how you would stagger the glides.

I was going to shoot Saiger porn today. I took my video with me for top quality. I started the hoss and immediately there was a metal grinding sound. I did talk to Scott to ask him about it but he said it was a first and he had never heard of any problems. What the heck. I took audio and was going to post it. I got home and looked it over. Nothing loose flopping around in the head. No sound just smooth when turned by hand. No sound under power either with no load. Under load a horrible grinding sound. My wife bends over and touches it a few places. She touch the plate on top protecting the electric motor and it stops. Yep, the one part I let my helper put on was loose. Obivously it was my fault for not checking it throughly. I'm just glad that it was my fault. I thought the worst when I heard that noise.

I did notice that they had the nuts on the wheels excessively tight. They wouldn't spin freely. It's quiet now. I don't think I have anything Monday that will need it. It will mostly be a sitter waiting for those few that need it.

It's a different ballgame with that little thing on my truck. Has given me a lot of confidence in the level of cleaning we deliver every day.

It slowed me way down for a while but I was committed to making the tool work. Now, I'm so comfortable with it. So easy to maneuver while inside a home. I've gotten A LOT quicker with it too!

Considering staying with the 360i and upgrading to the 4 slot head...

$2500 is steep for a new XL to find out that I like the little guy in most situations.

A closer distributor would clear that right up for me....if there was one.

I agree, with sooooo much crap to set up, just to do a job last thing I wanted was some big heavy thing... It would just end up sitting on the truck - like my 45 pound vacuum I never want to use because it's a pain. It(360i) might not be the best, but at 40 pounds(and what I spent. Sssssss!) it's awesome.

$2500 is steep for a new XL to find out that I like the little guy in most situations.

No thanks!!! Imo, larger means more furniture moving and heavier. lol...... Winters coming, save that dough so you don't have to kill your self this Feb!

The rotarys agitation made it easy! Well not easy, but....... This is a church lunch room, ended up getting the whole place because of these results and my wonderful personality! Sssssss.

Years ago I had a job where the lady constantly burned candle and incense. Everything in the house was just covered in soot. The wand didn't touch it so we grabbed the 175. It was better but still not great. We pulled out The rotovac and it worked great. You could see a nasty border around everything we didn't move but she was happy.. One of the most under priced jobs I ever did. She wanted the sofas cleaned and I said thanks but no thanks.

Make sure you see the XL in person before making your decision. Even better if there is a 360i to compare to.

I was considering the XL till I saw it in Clearwater. I would rather have the smaller machine for residential. And the extra weight of the XL is a consideration.

I used the XL a little in Clearwater and at MF10 also. Nothing like putting a machine through its paces for a week or 2 though.
