The carbon brushes are actually special ones, so normal motor folks won't be able to help.

DO a search online for dealers that carry your machine. They should carry parts, one would think.

I know it is not hard to do, but I am a little confused again....
Why are they not available??? Is this one of those unauthorized for sale special made machines I have heard about trying to get parts? Or is it just so old that parts are no longer available for it? Miss Debbie, please clue us all in.
Some of these machines have been around an around an around, HECK THEIR OLDER THAN ME!!!!

But for the professional gear, carbon brushes ARE available. Since they are replaced infrequently, however, some distributors don't carry them regularly. I'm guessing that's why Steve got caught in the "Too Many People Involved" scenario... instead of getting a distributor's number directly, he was probably given the number of somebody who knows who has what in stock. So in trying to prevent Steve from having to call around a lot to find a part, it looks like we caused him to have to call around to find a part. :shock:
Less confused now, or did I make it worse?

please give me a place to call also. I have a model made in I believe 1986 that needs brushes cuz it drags when running please let me know where to call. thank you
