it's a lighting issue.
The window has something with color that is shining the color onto the carpet. put a marker/coin in one corner and in 15 minutes the coin will not be in the corner. This is due to the rotation of the earth.

Sometimes a spot on a window will Shine a spot on a carpet.

You are correct sir. Just a reminder that different lights and shadows can harass us when we are staring at the carpet while cleaning, thinking it’s a stain or color loss

When I was a carpet inspector, light and shadows were a common cause of complaint.

You would be surprised (or maybe not) how many people who still were unhappy with the issue and wanted the carpet replaced because “good carpet” should have light and shadow issues like this.

I learned to dislike doing inspections, and people as a whole.

I've never scrubbed shadows before.....:icon_redface:

I s'pect most of us have had "spot" call backs.

In the early years, I had a call back on two spots in a white burber.
I was puzzled for a minute, cause I knew they weren't there when I cleaned it .
(well maintained and no spills/spots when I started)

noticed the ceiling fan chain knobs and gave 'em a push ...yep, spots started moving.
Mystery solved....
