How do you clean this?

I'm not sure what this was but it was all over the vinyl on the basement windows. Probably tar but I do see a lot if silicone and insulation but it's never black.

If it's tar like substance, goof off? It might be adhesive of sort, so a solvent can get it off. I have oil flo 141 for situation like that and safe.

Tried a couple different products but it wasn't working very well. Ended up using this and it took it off in seconds.

I tried lacquer thinner and a couple other solvents but it was taking way to long. These 3m pads are impressive. They need to be roughed up before using them on vinyl and glass but they are replacing the blades we have been using. Saving us hours on removing paint and insulation on these windows.

In that case the magic eraser or #0000 steel wool works too.

Try these 3m pads. They are rough when new so you have to break them in. I rub them on 2x4 s until they soften up. Great on glass.

We have brass wool then you don’t have to worry about them getting rusty yea razors on new glass ca leave you in a lot of trouble
