How Many Amps????

How many amps does the standard electric pump clutch draw?? I was going to go through my manuals tonight to try to find the rating, but I'm sure one of you BRANIACS out there will know right away. It's 12 volts, but I'm not sure of the amp draw.

Do you mean rated for, or operating amps. The operating draw will vary greatly depending on the load. ie hose runs, carpet type, rpms, hg setting....as for the ratings I would have to use a life line and call a friend.

Just the clutch, around 4 amps (50 watts or so).

Reason I asked is......I am going to try out a 12V Jabsco pump for my APO. It has a draw of 20 amps, but I'm sure the Genesis power grid can run it while it drains the waste tank. The clutch I'm talking about is the same as on a Cat pressure pump on most TM's, only it's located on my Jabsco belt drive external APO on the Genesis.
