i have a GE whole house water filter setup in my van to catch all the 5micron or larget particles. Been changing it weekly due to high usage and the fact that i want to keep my unit from pumping this crap threw the system .

RO water provides the best rinsing for a TM.
1 rinse stroke = 2 with tap water .

I have just the screen on the hose inlet. I have a 200 gal. holding tank and it has very little debris.

I filter it going in with a $17.00 inline RV filter from wallmart. mostly for chlorine. I'v seen it take the nastiest hard water out when the customer is on a well and I need to refill the tank.
