I know Brian is king of DIY. How about everyone else? How much new business are you getting off of your internet marketing?

All of my new business comes from the internet (as of right now). Whether it be marketing, networking or search ratings.
This doesn't include referrals...I look at those as "almost new" clients.

It's so easy to get business from the internet, not sure why more guys don't focus on it. But I'm here to help if they want it.

As I am sure Eric will help them as well.

Fred is another story...that guys gives all the information away for free!

Yeah yeah, I know...so do I.

Tons!!!!

It comes from 3 things;

1.Being at or near the top of major search engines for many cleaning related terms.

2. Online client reviews.

3. Website conversion.
This has the least importance. (At Least far less importance that it used to be.)

Because, website and map listings are now combined. Your places listing now can have your business phone number, a client review and those 5 yellow stars highlighting your reviews right on the first page of Google!!!

Prospects have less need to go to your website.

How to improve website conversion is an other post.

it's amazing how much free info you can extract from a free phone call

but I am going to hire Eric in the very near future to do some tune up work for me on some things

Terje,

In the mean time you can do several thing that are talked about all the time.

Get online client reviews. They will draw prospects to your listing and help stop price shopping.

Also, get directory back links.

You can do all this for free also.

73% of my new customers came from the internet last year according to Service Monster. Google searches and Yelp were the top.

Hi there,

According to me now a days internet becomes the major source of earning. No one wants to go in the market or in hosh-posh area and spend their precious time for buying/selling something. It becomes a trend to find goods and services just by sitting at home on the internet.
