I would think 12 is enough as long as you keep your pressure down and don't soak the carpet. Maybe use more agitation to scrub the fibers rather than high flow to accomplish the desired outcome.

Needed? 8-10

Our vans pull 16-18 on every job regardless of the carpet type. I've gone a few years with no problems until this month, 1 waste tank cracked right in the middle along the baffle :D

I use a Boxxer 421. My machine is set to 14 or 15hg with the hose closed off. It pulls close to that with the wand on wet carpet. The glide lets a lot of air flow even when the wand is on the carpet.

My last TM was a Blueline ThermalWave. With a glide, I would pull around 12hg.

I get 2-4 hour dry times. It feels dry to the touch in 2 hours, but it isn't dry.

My understanding is that you want to use as little of the potential lift of the unit as possible to maximize CFM. If I were a porty only guy I would be using 10” or 12” wands with 2” tubes and keep the 2” hose runs as short as possible. With good methodology and a good unit like the recoil you should have great dry times. If your using the maximum lift on every job, there is something that needs to be improved.

I have a recoil 2 front motors lmb2a 115 cfm 148"lift and 100 cfm 3 stage 132" lift for my bulit in booster. I am looking for the best 3 stage motor to put in my inline booster. From my info gathered Cobbs lmba3 118 cfm and 158" is the strongest. Theres a 5 stage at light house with 202 inch lift but only 350 or air watts. But my system has 4 3 stage motors 12 hg 430 cfm. 203 hour dry times with a rotovac at 350 psi 180 heat

I get 13 our of my blueline. I would like 15 but my mechanic screams and fusses about 13. The manual says 13 but he wants to turn my down to 11.
