Is there a "Blue book" value system to determine how much a used van and TM are worth?
Hours? mileage etc or is it just a big guess.
I spoke with Peter Zeihan of youtube fame ( Smartest person I know outside of Gary Busey)
and Peter could only speak about China's or other global concerns.

So I am asking the brain trust here for their opinion

GMC Savana with a Cleanco 47 compact for $10,000. Van had 348,000 kilometers on it and the cleaning unit had almost 6000 hours. Yet, it was well maintained with regular oil changes, many repairs and upgrades, new tires and brakes. The unit had been serviced regularly and was still hot and powerful. Condition is everything. The guys who bought it are going from a portable to a truck mount for the first time. They have good support and should do well. I bought a 2011 GMC Savana with a Prochem Apex . 204,000 kilometres on the van and 5200 hours on the unit. Bought from a friend who looks after his stuff. $18,000. I don't know if that helps you any.

The van should be easy.

As for the tm, if it's $30k brand new, I would start with the value being with an average lifespan of 10k hrs. IF it's been meticulously maintained...and the hrs are (for example) 5k hrs. Just start with the asking price of $15k plus the value of the van.

If it's an old machine with 11k hrs...it's not worthless, just throw a price out there of how much you want for it, due to what you might have invested in it

I know some of these guys I've seen lately are determining the value of their machines on what it would cost today to replace it, which is inflating the value of it. They should be going off the value of what it costed new when it was on the shelf

The low value of old truck mounts and the high value of used vans has made it better for some guys to scrap the unit and sell the van to the open market.

If you have a van powered unit, that can be more problematic.

The formula I use takes hours and condition in to consideration, so to be fair to you just to send me a message with your details, and I'll work it out for you Jimmy.
