I am one who wondered what that rubber tip was for, as there was no instruction sheet included with my wand. Good info!

It would be nice if Tom sent a sheet with the link to this and any other helpful videos. Had you not posted this, I would eventually have mounted a zirc fitting and mumbled grumpy things in coastie. So thanks.

I have one of those installed in a Ujoint on the AT.
HUGE PITA.

Yeah, in a automotive environment some are pretty tough if they get packed with dirt or crud or you can't get a straight on shot at it.

I thought on a wand joint they might work pretty well as they would not be subject to that kind of crap.

Oh I take that back. I have seen some pictures of some very dirty and neglected wands.
