How to restore headlights that look hazy?

I’ve tried toothpaste, wax, etc and get subpar results. Maybe toothpaste with peoples in it?

Any you guys had any success making them Clear again?

Try one of the many kits from the auto parts store or Amazon or hire a pro

anything you do on the outside of the lens will only last a few months at best. Its usually moisture on the inside.

theres videos you can find where it shows you how to remove and bake them in the oven at a very low temp, then re seal with silicone. Youll still have to polish the outside.

or just replace them.

NO......i just did two sets and getting ready to do the third one....
first you have to get all that UV protection OFF...this requires sanding it off.....
first tape off everything but the actual glass
THEN start with 600 grit wet dry sandpaper with a rubber pad underneath or you will get finger strokes in it....HORIZONTAL strokes only..get all the UV off like this then step up 1000 grit...same thing....use a lot of water...then go to 1500 grit then 2000 grit.......i usually buff with a wool pad and VERY mild compound! but you dont have to if you use the 2000 grit they DO make a 3000 grit

take all the tape off and blow any water that might be present away....re tape and use paper to cover any surrounding paint........after you sand the headlite will still appear to be a little hazy...but the minute you spray the clear its lik magic...they look brand new and wii stay that way...go to a body shop suppy store and buy a rattle can of 2K glamour clear...its a special can that has hardener that you activate just befor you spray......take a clean micro towel and clean glass with rubbing alcohol...let dry and activate hardener and spray the 2K...don't drive fo a couple of hours...first coat lightly next coat a little more heavy third coat ...normal..
do not run the clear or you WILL have to start all over and them cans costs about 26 bucks

if you cheap out and buy the 1K single stage clear............

Try some WD-40 on a soft towel will improve if their not to bad. I v;e cleaned a few with a high speed body grinder with rubbing compound then a few coats of wax, very common here in Fl. jz

Bob's will last for years with the clear coat and look like new. There are videos online showing that method.

I've bought new for my daughter's car but we had to spend a day removing and installing. I also had the repair shop install a set on my wife's car for $100.00.

The next time I'm trying Bob's way. I have an employee that does it and it looks like factory.

I just used some polishing compound on my son's honda and put some wax on it. But we'll see how long that lasts.

You're talking about Lexan headlights I assume. I've used a polish kit that worked very well to fix the headlights on my wife's car. (They cost $467 each, so just replacing them wasn't the best idea) It took about two hours for both.

My son just had a guy use a wipe-on product on his old car. Six months later they still look new, so maybe that's the thing to try first.

I told you the RIGHT way...when the factory UV goes bad....a little wipe ain't gonna take it off.....

OFF backwoods bugspray with DEET. I'm not kidding. Tried it on my wifes Four Runner and it was amazing. And helps to repel the skeeters that are as big as a pterodactyl here in N.C.
