How wide is too wide for a wand?

I'm surprised at how many people contacted me asking if this 24" wide Dang wand with work with such and such a unit.

Vacuum wise it's less overall than the airflow of a 13" zipper, but a Zipper has excellent funneled airflow spread out evenly to the two 13" ports.

Butler makes a 24" wand and I have tried it because generally they make good stuff. Quickly sold it!

BTW it was a 1.5" wand LOL!

If you were using it as an everything wand another concern would be poor lift from too much slot area. I think surface cleaning the type of carpet in Mikey's pic is what these are made for.

The uneven floors will bite you plenty on commercial. Back in the day we would use a 24 inch Steam Genie drag wand. It worked excellent until you ran into uneven floors. Breaking the seal caused unnecessary vacuum steps that the 16 drag wands didn't have.

A great tool for the right situations but worthless when the floor wasn't smooth and even.
