Hydroforce- Nice tool. Nickel and diming?

Got the new HydroForce.
Nice tool (been using it for years, can't do without it.)
Kudos on the new design for the jug. Neat. You do not have to remove the head to fill it up and it is easily accessible. Well thought out.

I was surprised to find out that it did not come with the velcro strap that holds it in place. At first I thought that my supplier forgot it.- No. They do not come with the strap anymore, supposedly because the indentation that holds the siphon hose will keep it in place. (by the way, another nice touch.) And if I want one, I should buy it.

Well, it doesn't really hold it in its place. Not securely. And in the jungle environment also known as the back of our vans, without the strap, it will move around and put pressure on the cap, eventually damaging it.

It is a very good tool that everyone should have, however it should come with the Velcro strap. Having to buy it separately, just feels like being nickel and dimed.

Everybody runs their business the way they see fit- understood. Just my humble opinion and feedback.

They want $3.99 for the strap.
Should have raised the price $4.00 and given you the strap for free! :biggrin:

I have 2-dozen of those straps. The guys are always losing them and the ones they don't lose, look ratty and chemical soaked after a while. I give them new ones to replace them when missing or nasty looking.

Its all about appearance! :icon_cool:

I thought it was odd they canned the strap also. You're right, it will take a toll on the cap assembly eventually if one isn't used.

Ray, you don't get it.
It is not about the $4.00. It is about the attitude of HydrForce. That's why I told you that I don't want one free from you.

I think you know it and I know you practice it in your own business as well. The last thing one wants is to feel nickel and dimed- It is not a smart business move for HydroForce.

For $2.54 , Hydro force should include it, if they know anything about their own sprayer , that hollowed out plastic cap will split easily under pressure

I have been using the 7 quart sprayers for years....they travel better with out tipping over..for years they have always had the large opening/lid on the back for filling ..I just replaced my HF a few weeks ago....it came with the velcro strap for the handle.....I pitch the 5 quart container in the trash...........

This one? Its a good sprayer, we've owned them before. They are less likely to tip but when full its kind of heavy to use until your level is down.

Gene at Multisprayer also makes a nice one too. You get two jugs with theirs and a "velco strap". :winky:

My local distributor says they have the best water jet (nozzle) since its stainless steel. Some of the others don't use stainless for the jet, so they don't last as long and need to be replaced more often.
