That looks a lot like a customized AW29, with a really poor fitting glide....

not much
I tried a swivel wand for a couple weeks.
Useful/virtuous for some operations, but overall it's a weak link that won't hold up to crew abuse

AW29 is a great wand no matter what the pack-followers say.
Light, compact, nimble, very good recovery and don't need to blow 500-600PSI to get great results
350 and less PSI is where it shines.
(I know when we got our Ti wand, I had to turn PSI up to 450 to get same results as 350 w/A29)

I'd pitch the glide too (it doesn't need one cause it's not a man killer to push)
It gets better "bite" on cut pile without glide too

It's worth getting if it's cheap enough. Just don't use it every day. Just on those jobs where you're going in between church pews, under cots in the tiny rooms at the fire dept., etc. If you use it on few jobs like those only, I'm certain you'll get your money's worth. And I agree with the bad glide. Replace that stupid thing

How much different are these swivels compared to others? Is there a specific part that will last on others? I'm just trying to understand swivels.

I'd like one with a window. Even though it gets yellow after a while.

Windows are easily replaceable.

Tony's cheap swivels use undersized steel bearings that wad up in the aluminum race and saw away at the walls until it splits in two..

30$ and saw off the extra glide...for the portable...which I have used 4 times in 3 years.
