Rack and pinion went out in our little dodge dakota last week out of the passenger side seal. After taking it off I got to looking around and I saw the wire on the starter was corroded as hell so ordered one of those too. Both went without a hiccup and only took me 1.5 hours. Whoever decided to use a bolt 10x too long to mount that starter should be throat punched.
I should have stopped there since I hadn't pulled a Marty yet, but I decided to do an oil change. I told myself to use a closed sloping pan but I just grabbed an open one instead. My phone slipped out of my pocket right into the full oil pan but I didn't realize it until I went to put the old oil in a container.
Future father-in-law is a mechanic/race car fanatic so I get free roam of his garage and tools and he has one of those fancy 5 ton air/hydralic jack combos because they have a 1200 gal water truck.
