Only had my new portable two months and so you can imagine how surprised and pleased I am to be the owner of an -only slightly used- Rotovac 360i.

Got what amounts to a good deal, at least by local pricing.

Got the three shoe carpet head, a head that is sinilar but has brushes and vacuum shoes and a pad driver.

I acknowledge by rotary standards it's a bit of a toy.

Just wanted to share the win.

I used it today on a carpet with lots of petroleum spots and it did very well.

Nice that I don't need a seperate 175 and wand anymore. Just use the Rotovac for carpet and DriMaster for edges.

Can you post a photo of the cleaning head?
You'll want to get the three port head with out the brushes too I believe

How is your measured recovery with your portable?
In other words, if you put 5 gallons in, how much is recovered with the RV?

Can you compare that amount to your wand for me..

Congrats!

Congratulations on the new toy! The thing has transformed the quality we are putting out.

Strongly considering the XL but the 360i is just SO handy and easy to pull off the truck.

Smart move Grant. Keep us updated on your experience.

I used it twice day and I'd say I used about 50 litres of water.

I used 2 / gal of solution. Which is about 7 .5 litres in our money.

So that's 57ish litres or 15.2 gal.

I got 40ish litre back. About 10.6 gal

I went faster for extractions and then turned it down and went over the area slower to dry.

I would say it leaves my carpets wetter than my wand. Some I think I will need to dry wand after.

Today's was good howeve.

Very short pile nylon. Great recovery.

Miley; thanks for replying.

What do I really want to use the three vacuum shoe head with no brushes on?

I suppose woolen a with loops might not go too well but otherwise I'd have thought the additional agitation would be almost universally king.

So I need to be set straight.

Oh by the way I have two very conventional 20 litre buckets. My estimates are based if machine solution tank capacity and pre-spray quantity vs number of buckets and approximate fractions,

Congrats. I was so happy when I got mine. I use it just about every day.

Ive never used the brush heads so I can't say.

Never felt the need to be honest.

I assume you run all 1.5 hose?
yes hose is just 1.5 inch.

2x2stage vacuum motored for 150ish inches.

220 PSI pump.

10 Amp 240 (20 Amp 120v) inline electric heater. Sizzler brand.

Seems to do ok. Quicker and easier on my body than the Bissell was.

The red one is a pad drive plate, not a carpet brush. You can use red or white pads, loop and flat bonnets.

A red pad is fantastic for prescrubbing synthetic carpets, and they get less aggressive when worn so I can use them on wools. A white pad is safest on wool carpets and rugs.

Ideally you would use a dual 3 stage extractor with 2 inch hose to the machine. I use a CFX now when I run a porty and love it's vac power and light weight. But it is a modular setup that doesn't spray. I hook to a sink for water and that is generally excellent to run the 360i, but you can attach a 220 psi pump to your water line to increase low pressure when needed.
