That bastard taught us a class at MF 5 on how to properly vacuum carpet. He said we owed it to the profession to get all of the dry dirt out before hot water extraction. I found myself slowing down while vacuuming today and it took at least an extra 20 minutes while I had picture of his mug in my head. I still didn't take 45 minutes a room, so I might be a hack. I will attempt to improve.

I doubt you'll find anyone else in the industry that will vacuum like Ron on a daily basis. Ron is a very nice guy. He is with his vacuum like I am with Dusting rugs. Always pre-dust. :D

Soooo.. If a person does not take 45 minutes to vacuum a room they must be a hack.

Meanwhile, in the Real World, the customer who actually has a life is tapping her foot and wondering when the hell the cleaning is going to begin so she can get out of there and meet the other busy working women to discuss "Why the idiot who came to clean the carpets spent a whole hour vacuuming the carpet." Don't you realize that most people want you to do the job and then GET THE HELL OUT of their house so they can get back to viewing internet porn before the kids get home. I hear this all the time "The last guy that was here took twice as long, I thought they would never leave. Now I have time to do ___________ before the kids get home. Thank you Mr Carpet Cleaner, I will tell all my friends."

Holy Hell, I never heard such nonsense. Of course, at $25 a room, I'm lucky if they remove the dead cat from under the sofa before I start.

I was watching the faces of the MFrs' who didn't' know who Ron is during his lecture.

They were taking notes and soaking it in like he was Scott Warington or Joey Picket.

I've worked with Ron on several jobs where one of us needed the others help or truck. He is absolutely for real that slow. Beyond vacuuming he is a very meticulous cleaner as well. He's an animal on stars too.

Going to these gatherings is both good and bad. Good because you learn how to do the stuff correctly which usually takes longer. Bad cause now you feel like you have to do the same (stays in your head).

If you're a hack it goes away soon though.
If you're not it lingers for a while.
