Wow, good eyes. I Didn't know what you were talking about until I looked at the picture again. The urethane hose is made in Canada. Yes, it does increase the psi. How did you know that?

"Clear" is just an expression. However, looks can be deceiving. The polymer actually has no color in it. So technically it's called "natural", (like certain gallon jugs) so the liquid level is more visible.
