I believe it's a petroleum based soap. I'd imagine that's why it works so well on black/gray mystery spots, best product ever for filtration soiling/lines. I've used it on a micro fiber couch, worked great on an oil ring type stain.

I had some work done on our condo and we came down to check on it. The flooring wizard got some kind of black oil based crud on my 1979 Berber. Fels wouldn't dent it. Cobb's solvent got it right out.

Yep hard for strong products to distinguish the stain from the color. Good thing you can turn replacement into the manufacturer for warranty.

I had a white work shirt that was dirty. I wet the spot and rubbed in the fels and washed it. It left a stain the color of the fels.

I used for a couple weeks on the job but my other products worked better. Goo gone works better for me.

Was it a high efficiency washer? Could be you might have used to much and it couldn't rinse it all out.. I noticed with my 6 flow wand it take more passes then my 9 flow..
