I have been checking out all the pictures of truck set ups out there on the O'l world wide web, and I keep coming across these companies in Australia with there SS or PC Everest in the back with there hose reels. Whats up with that? Is there a reason they do that there? Parking issues maybe? I must admit it seems like a space saver... I would love to put a hose reel next to my next slide in install, but... what about maintenance? How? ... and what about handling? All that weight in the back?

Just curious..

Thanks.

Maybe the Bethels feel that it's safer in certain vans...

You could put your hose reel on a slider track to pull out n drop with legs to hold up - giving you access to maintenance and repair

I think they are doing just fine, down under. I am actually planning out a very similar setup to Powerclean's demo Mercedes. Most likely would get the same Vito (Metris here) and get the SS370 installed. I think it would be a very very good setup. Efficient, good gas mileage, small footprint -both van and equipment- and looks good. In my opinion that is the type of setup that companies with several vans, should run.

Yeah Gene .. having the TM slide out just enough to access with out squatting or reaching would be awesome !! Who would make these rails? Im about to install a custom frame and Id love to have a rail system .. I think !! Or having it run while out of the van would keep things cool on the inside !!

There is a TM that sits on a steel plate with rails. I saw it on FB a while back, can't remember what it was called or who posted it but it was pretty cool.

That's the one! I forgot, it was the truck and not so much the TM....
Those trucks are really expensive, but also you would have to worry about cleaning in really cold weather.

Those are not much bigger than a Soccer Mom mini van.

No fresh, very little shelving

Do they sell the Vito (metris) where you are do you have to import it? I agree with the small footprint and fuel milage

I know. I compare it to a regular E150 Ford. Surprisingly not that much smaller in usable cargo space. A lot of it is the wasted curved walls of the E150.

I really like this setup with the 370 and they can pull a trailer with two other truckmounts installed for demo.

In real life you could set up a van like that and for a backup, you could have a small trailer with a truckmount. Or when you have a large job scheduled, you hook the trailer up and become a true dual wanding van where you can run a trailer on one end of the building and the van on the other.

And there is this guy with a 570:

With all of these I wouldn't mind measuring out the 370 and the hose reel out the side door and leave the back open.

I'll have to see if I can bring one to Canada. They are very similar to my t4 and I'll be looking for a replacment in the next year or 2

These pictures belong to the Bethels in Australia.

But I don't see why we couldn't have the same setup installed here now that these vans are available.

why more so than a regular van?
The machine is out in the open so there is nowhere for it too hold heat?
Also, it doesn't look like the doors to the chem shelves are insulated so your products would be more exposed to the temperature changes.
I don't know if it's accurate, it's just an observation and concern.

Just watched the video posted above and see that you don't have it slid out during cleaning, it is more so for maintenance ease, so it would not be an issue at all.
I think it is a fantastic truck and trust me, if I could afford one, I'd be all over it!

I'm pretty sure more than one company makes them. I'm not good at searches but I know I've seen them before. Someone here will find them
