I'm looking for a 5" I.D. coupler. This will attach my blower to my silencer. Either stainless steel with a silicone gasket in side or a heavy duty silicone coupler only. Only need to be about 4'' long. If anyone can send me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it. It must be a high temperatuare part that can handle blower exhaust.

I just looked closer and their 5' connector is 5.5" nominal hose inside diameter. Might have to add a sleeve to make it work?

True, at least for American stuff. For instance 5" pipe is always 5.563 OD. Schedule 10 is 5.295 ID, Sch 40 is 5.047 ID, and Sch 80 is 4.813 ID.

Otherwise you would need different threading dies for each schedule/weight, and you couldn't, for instance, use a sched 80 elbow with sched 40 pipe. Yikes....

Interestingly, the nominal size is never an actual dimension for pipe (nothing on a 5" pipe is actually 5") - but it's always a dimension for tubing (1/4" tubing is actually 1/4" OD).

it might be worth giving aero tech a call and see what they have...they used all types on the Vortex/A.T....

from the blower to the waste tank and down to the silencer....worst they can say is they don't have anything....
