If only they sold these in 2001
what would of happened?
you'd dual wand with a #4 blower?
or fall in love with Oh-Pee sooner?

You've become more predictable than Marty.
Dual wanding worked great for us for about 10 years
Or maybe it's just your reading comprehension Larry ..
I've said it countless times that I'm VLMing maybe 15% of my residential, 20 in a good month when it's raining..
I'm sorry that you're cleaning business didn't have the same ratios of customers with perfectly clean carpet and two spots, but don't blame me for your failures chief.
My butler was a good truck mount but the GMC ownership experience totally blew and I couldn't wait to get rid of it.
Dual wanding worked great for us for about 10 years but now both locations are working at a much slower pace.
Plenty of room in the back of that mini Butler vortex for hard surface gear and OP machine and thousands and thousands and thousands of microfiber pads.
You may be getting 60- 70% of the soil out.
The profit is in stroking the advertisers
I'm certainly aware of that.
so lets forget about doing the best we can.
If that's no longer the focus, say so and rock-on
It's that's what it's about, start spraying bug juice with the janitors too .
I hear there's a chit-ton of profit in it

I’ve got to order some pads todayTo Larry and others...
We're talking about cleaning carpet / which is made up of short strands of (typically) synthetic fiber. Let's put the truckmount testosterone to the side for a moment... A torrent of water is not always required to clean modern carpet. In fact if a GOOD low moisture system is being used, there's less need for HWE.
It's true that the rat nasty's will still require a good flushing. Running copious amounts of water through the fiber is a terrific way to unload the carpet of a heavy soil load. But keep in mind what we're doing with HWE... it's a matter of DILUTION. Let's say we start off with a hypothetical soil load of 50%. We pre-spray the carpet, then we squirt water into the carpet, and we suck off as much of the soiled solution as we possibly can. But what percentage of soil is still left in the carpet? Zero? I don't think so. There will be a reduction of soil content because we've diluted the soil with water and sucked a percentage of it away. However, at some point, we stop wanding the carpet and say - that looks good - job done. And that's great! Yet we can't say that we've reached a 0% soil load with HWE. Thinking it will accomplish that is a panacea.
That's where a good low moisture system can augment HWE. Maintaining the carpet with a well executed low moisture cleaning system can provide a way to keep everyone smiling. Call it "cutting corners" if it makes you feel better about your truckmount. But the truth is that MANY successful contractors are doing awesome work using low moisture methods and their customers are loving the results. And I'd expect the work that Mikey's doing falls into that category.

After being at the glass house I can see how it would be very appropriate to bring in a shiny new buffer and pads to clean carpet.Awesome post Rick..
And in many cases the "best we can" is to not create a cesspool in an already far too contaminated carpet by thinking we're going to extract it clean with our boiling truck mounts.
Going over and over and over regardless of chemicals pressure heat and flow you're just making matters worse underneath the carpet and if the homeowner continues to live there and just wanted to look and smell better and this can be easily accomplished with a low moisture process that would dry in under an hour and not cause the intense bacteria growth.
But praise the Lord, those people don't call me anymore.
Chit, Rick there's plenty blow 'n go outfits making a bundle too.
Stan, Hogopian, and other reputable "value priced" outfits.
But if you consider that and VLM "awesome" quality, I question what you know
Hell, Greg Cole made a million with an army of porty in Pinto subs
nevertheless, I have no bone to pick with you.
You have products that guys can make money with.
