Kind of reminds me of the first episode of IT Crowd where Moss comes in and Roy says "oh good your back, it's been all go since you left, we've had A call." Didn't they say all that when they switched to the old new management company? I was pretty vocal about them needing to manage themselves but was, as usual, dismissed as being a moron.

The last thing people want to hear is be patient, we're working on it. Give us quantifiable, measurable goals - for instance:

Right now we commit to returning emails within 4 days, and within the next 3 months we will improve to 2 days. Within six months we will be able to return emails same-day.

etc.
etc.

You should volunteer. They need people like you.
