A very nice customer from 2 months ago called and asked me if I could clean her living room (again) since her elderly dog had another accident. It was just a small spot and could’ve very well been a wick-back from my cleaning.

She was sweet and I just sprayed some peroxide on the spot and it instantly disappeared.

The customer tried to put a $20 dollar bill in my pocket, but I refused, as that spot could’ve been my fault.

The customer wished me a merry Christmas and went on to chronicle our encounter on a local Facebook group.

I’ve booked around $1100 in business from her post.

Makes me very happy.

Merry Christmas, you douche bags.

Going the extra mile pays off sometimes, other times, it just wears you out. Good job.

Lee, you have a point. The other day I gifted the job to a recently widowed woman, which she tearfully accepted. Then she asked if she could give me $100 “to buy your grandkids some Christmas.”

I considered refusing, but after all, it was her money to give, so I took it with thanks.
One thing has nothing to do with the other and we both felt good. I smiled a little in the way home.
