I've asked about Yelp page upgrades before and didn't get much of a response.

For $50 a month, you can "Restrict Competitors Ads" that show up on the top of your Yelp business page. I'm seriously thinking about giving this a try to see if I see any improvement in Yelp calls.

Anyone else do this?

the other page upgrades that you can do are 1)Slideshow for $25 a month and 2) Call to action Button for $50 a month....or all 3 for $75 a month.

Don't pay extortion to that racket.

I understand what you are saying when you listen to what a lot of others say who pay Yelp $400+ or whatever it is per month, BUT I have never paid them anything and I've actually gotten a lot of work off of them so I certainly can't claim extortion from them. $50 a month would be cheap if it gets a couple of jobs more per month. (I just checked.....in a little over 5 years I've gotten 255+ jobs from Yelp - all with not paying them anything!)

If anything I'm a freeloader!

It really depends if they let you go month to month or not I've gotta lot of work like you before I signed up with Yelp.

I just wonder if my competitors can pay to restrict my ads???

If so why am I paying them? That's what makes are advertising with them work it places are ad

On searches and on competitors page to.

I see about 2-3 ads of competitors pages now there's not much exclusivity anymore to advertising.

They also place your ad out of the area a lot.

Don't pay extortion to that racket.

The argument to call purposely placing competitors information prominently on your own business page, and then charging you to not place them there "extortion" can surely be supported.

I would rather not pay 600 a year and increase the revenue generation from such a questionable policy, especially if your already getting solid action from Yelp.

Fook'em.
