This is a good friend of mine. He was one of my band students....

Was then a "partner in crime" and fellow teacher with me.

Now in charge of the band program.....and not afraid of work!

So he was helping us on this large school project cleaning past couple days.

This is his impression of the Zipper wand....

Just wanted to share to maybe help answer some questions....

Having worked in a school for years I have a low opinion of most teachers and what they know.
And the fact they have socialist government union jobs.
When that clock reaches 4 o'clock they run out of there just like a factory worker.

There are unfortunately some like that, and I of course being a teacher went against the grain of such situations....

As a band director, I put in lots of extra hours and a lot of times for free, or even paid for a lot of things out of my own pocket (even got audited by the IRS for this and won)

But, there are always going to be those types in any job....

I look and now basically laugh because, I choose not to be like that.

I would have had a way better retirement, including retirement medical if I would have just taught 4 1/2 more years....but, I couldn't handle all the little politics that were taking place....so I left....

But I still had an incredible band program, great students for the most part, and only surrounded myself with people who wanted to work hard, have fun and do good :)

So whatever life has for me now, it is what it is, and I can't look back in regret :)

Excellent response. We can't control most of what happens around us. We can however control our attitude.
