I'm experimenting with 2-1/2" to 2" wyes. I want to have the two 2" tubes parallel and have an airflow path as straight as possible, yet I don't want to resort to expensive mandrel bends to do it. My first thought was what you see here.

It uses only 30° angles and has a pretty straight shot, but the two 2" tubes are only 1" apart. This is plenty for cuffs or straight 2" hose - but would it be an issue for other connector setups? Basically anything you put on the 2" end could not exceed 3" OD. What do you think?

You could either make one tube a bit longer or deviate from parallel a bit. Wouldn't matter, unless you tend to the OCD as most techies do.
