Is a Swivel Stair Tool really a game changer?

For years my company has always used our butler stair tools, when its all you've ever known they seem to work fine and being included in the purchase of a new cleaning van we have just always went with what we got instead of buying additional tools. Recently since being pulled from a van to manage the carpet division I have seen many big names in the field use the PMF swivel stair tool and I would love some opinions of guys who use them daily before pulling the trigger and purchasing 5 for all of my guys.

I have the swivel PMF stair tool (unglided, no wings, 2 jet manifold).

I love it.

I have it and use it when I need to in tighter areas.. I don’t use the swivel aspect of it.. I have a few stair tools I’ve been through.. anything is better than an upholstery tool on stairs unless wood on the sides..

I own one and I ruined it by changing it to a Mark Saiger two jet. I should have left it stock. It’s better than using a straight neck tool on risers but not by much. I don’t know much about Butlers stair wand but it can’t be any worse than what we have available to us now. I’d probably keep using them.

I use the PMF swivel single jet tool. It cleans well and the swivel is helpful getting into tight areas, especially when there is a handrail on one side. Doesn't really over spray much, I don't use a glide as I like the way it gets close to the bottom of the riser. I have many stair tools but this is my favorite. Also the way the single jet is placed, it hits the bullnose squarely.

I have the PMF fixed and swivel. They are both good wands. My swivel is a Mark Saiger twin jet. The swivel saves me time and energy. With the twin jet I can maneuver it to hit all the bull nose without over wetting.

PMF swivel enclosed single jet. There is no overspray with the enclosure. Did replace the jet to a wider angle though so solution would reach both ends. VERY happy with it.

I have two Pmf one jet closed head swivels here. Custom bypass valves on both.

20+ years Never a problem. Maybe changed valve kit 2-3 times in all these years.

Got a pmf straight tube non swivel open one jet stair tool if anyone interested. Of course its not free.

Easier for me to use swivel.
Everyone is different. Comes down to personal preference.

Bought one these clunky thingies from pmf years ago to do stairs. Whst was i smoking at the time! Thing looks like a Babe Ruth catchers mit.
Give someone a deal if interested. Just never worked for me but may for you.

The one I got was so loose and flimsy, I couldn’t push it in a straight line.

You said you owned one for over 20 years. I have some old pmf tools at that age that I love. All my new tools I bought from them in the last 5 or so years has many flaws that have disappointed me. That stair tool being one of them
