Is it fair?

Is it fair to put your before and after pictures online for thousands of people to view and proclaim openly what products you used, to achieve the striking contrast between the pictures but not get paid for the endorsement?

This day and age, everything is about endorsements. Politics. Sports. Business reviews.

It is apparent that on these online forums you will have the endorsers-shills whatever, that get "hooked up". It works for both parties...basic business.

So are you becoming more aware of what you say you used, or you don't care that you're putting money into another company's pocket by endorsing their products?

Keep in mind that there is no real way to prove what was used and how- when presenting a pair of pictures.

Should you get paid if you say you used Gunther's sea salt infused pineapple juice, to strip the oils off the smart strand?
(don't Google it, just made that up)
Or will you just not say it and risk of being labeled an unhelpful a$$hole?

It is a review. It goes both ways. Do something crappy and you will get negative publicity.
I share what I use because I appreciate good products. There are some companies that consistently put out junk and I will not touch anything they make.

Your honesty and helpfulness is rewarded by others doing like wise.

If you help someone across the street you will get there also.

Mark Saiger is a guy that makes videos and talks about the products he uses. He didn't get his Zipper for free but if I was the manufacturer of the Zipper I would have sent him an extra one...for free, because of all the publicity he generated for it. I know he was a tester for the Super Spinner version and after the 10th video showing it chewing through greasy Restaurant traffic lanes, I wanted one! I hope he got to keep the test model for free...would be fair. Now he is excited about another cleaning tool with a swivel head and I know he bought 2... we have all seen the receipt. After 4 or 5 videos... OK, I wanted it when I saw Mike talk about it at Mikeyfest...another Saiger video.
Truth is I wouldn't even know about these newer products if it wasn't for this board and the friends of the Mikey Board.
Has someone here endorsed the Bonzer? :yoda:

It all comes down to who is saying what. You can't trust everyone and I'm not talking about anyone here. Mike or Mark would not steer you wrong.

However there are those that will push a product because they have been given one free. Only later to switch to the next product because it has been given to them free or they make a percentage of each sale.

You really need to take an endorsement with a grain of salt. Who is is saying it and is there an ulterior motive.

I don't mind sharing my information with others good or bad. I don't get a lot of free samples or if I do, they are usually sample sized (small). I like to help small businessmen over the huge corporations but I won't plug your product unless it works. I have been very supportive of Procyon for the past year or so because I like it, it works and my customers like the environmental side of it. I support Prochem machines, not because I have one but because I like how they are built. I like Cleanco's and Hydramaster machines too. If I don't like something about a company or product, I will say so and let the argument begin. That's the beauty of this board. Anyone can comment on anything. If you want to criticize Harvard chemicals, Marks not going to take you out behind the woodshed. Likewise if you criticize Sapphire or anything else our board shills represent. You will have to defend your position however and be prepared to know what you are talking about and suffer through 14 or 15 pages of debates.

What debate?

There's just repetition of the same opinion over and over ....and over again.
I dare you, or Fred or Phred to show me a single example of someone who actually listened and changed their opinion on this board.
They'd be kicked right out of here, it's not the MB way :winky:

We have had as many as 8-Prochem units back when we were carpet cleaners.

We still have 4 of them and purchased a 5th. Why? Because Auto is beautiful? No, she wasn't even born when we started buying them. However she is beautiful but it didn't sway my decision! :winky:

We buy them because the have been proven to us over two decades of use.

Do I believe that Prochem builds the only dependable machines built? No, in fact we own Butlers too.

Actually I believe any of the major Truck Mount manufacturers are capable of producing fine products that give years and years of use to their owners.

Do I shill never...ok I may give my humble opinion. Ok ok no humble bone in my body.

I can't help it. I was born to be Mighty! :winky:

Is this about me yet Porkfabio or do I need to continue?

Just this one. Mike's my hero.

Is it true that all Prattvilleans have at least one family member that died right after saying, ‘Hey, guys, watch this.’

Point is, a shill needs to be compensated for shilling.

If not he is just trying to help other try to get the same awesomeness they believed help them.

Many people on this board(before the great advertisement plate shift of 200?) were just here to help.

I even don't think Mikey recommend crappy stuff(even though he could easily do it for more money) for guys to buy on here, I think he only talks about the stuff that works for him, regardless if he gets it free or has to pay for it.

THE GREAT CAUTION I WOULD GIVE ON MIKEYS RECOMENDATION IS TO NOT BUY ALL OF THE TOOLS AND TRINKETS HE RECOMENDS AS THIS WILL MAKE You EVENTUALLY END UP IN THE POORHOUSE TRYING TO KEPEP UP WITH THE CARPET CLEANING JONESES( Mikey and Chavez)

Nobody likes the corner of the shop with all the crap is stacked up equaling thousands of dollars of crap bought over years that was hyped up and gr4at for some business just not yours.

Some examples- dirt dragon, drimaster, air paths, trexs, orbiters, prochem Aqua helix, pro caps machines, sals cuffs, hydramaster 427s, mates units,Peterson vortex machine/trucks, prochem ptos, sebo as a crb,Kirby vacuums, Royal vacuum, temef chemicals.

Some of the above are great for some businesses but not for other but I know many, many guys that just don't carry them in the van because too heavy,, don't like how they have to be used or are just crappy pieces of ****!

All I know is, I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that. :shifty:
